I placed the triangles in different parts of the frame and I used the lines to create rectangular grids. The 80s-inspired font was the same as the first chorus. The third verse is illustrated in the gif below.įor the second chorus, I used Freepik elements but I designed the scene wholly on my own.
See the gif below.įor the refrain of ‘I Ain’t Ready’, I employed the Dolly or Vertigo effect zooming into the 3D -rendered scene while moving the camera away and vice versa. The rotations were accomplished with the movement of the camera and the elements. I wanted a seamless transition from this first verse to the next so I rotated the sun back into the sunset position and had the crossing of vertical and horizontal lines in line with the next verse’s crossing of vertical and horizontal lines and fade out. I briefly utilized a neon music and a neon heart icon to add a little flair to the text. For the lines’ not a clear sound of my heart or my mind’. I also used a special text effect in After Effects for the first verse scene. Then I wanted the second scene to be memorable so I had the 3d-rendered scene rotate from a sunset over crossing of vertical and horizontal lines to the sun being on a slant on the left side of the frame. I wanted movement in the title scene so I had the lines moving in place then the stroke effect used for the actual title. All of the scenes were animated in After Effects and then the scenes were edited in Final Cut Pro. Most of the backgrounds were gleaned from Freepik and I edited and finessed them in Illustrator and Photoshop.
When I first heard this song, I envisioned it having an 80s vibe due to the snyths. This is my new lyric video for Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo off her sophmore album ‘Lady Wood’.
